This presentation will walk through the process of understanding efficiency as it is related to your current workforce. Anyone trying to achieve a state of reliability understands why this is so important. When we think about the cost of our workforce, are we operating efficiently? Best Practices of Planning and Scheduling

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Mon Apr 1, 2019

Description: How many times have you heard someone say “I wish I had more time” or “I wish there were more hours in a day”? We mainly hear this for one of two reasons, we genuinely have too much on our plates, or there is no plan or schedule in place. This presentation will focus on the best practices related to planning and scheduling and will walk through the principals that should be in place to improve these processes. We will also discuss how properly planning work improves effectiveness and how properly scheduling work improves work force efficiencies. We will also discuss the topic of workforce availability and how it relates weekly and daily schedules.

Speaker: Matt Midas, Director of Sales, Prometheus Group

Mobilizing Your Workforce, Planning and Execution

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Mon Apr 1, 2019

Description: With the current prevalence of smartphones and tablets being used in our personal lives, the expectation of having the same level of connectivity is growing in the workplace. However, not all work environments are currently architected to utilize these devices to view and manage information effectively, nor are they prepared to leverage the digitization of current paper-based processes. This workshop will focus on factors related to planning for and deploying an effective mobile initiative – from choosing who should be equipped with remote access, online vs. offline, visualization of information, what type of hardware should be used, and how it impacts your daily routines. We will also discuss how specific use cases can be improved with regard to effectiveness, reliability, and safety, such as job safety analyses, inspections, inventory management, and asset audits.
